Union Design founding director is Susy Hadikusumo. In 2004 Susy, inspired by her passion for interior design embarked on a business venture to challenge and change the way Interior design project were delivered to clients. Susy principle focus is to establish a collaborative environment that bonds Union design with vendors to deliver on the client’s expectations. That means listening to the client’s needs and using our design skills and experiences to thoughtfully create the best design solutions for them. This collaborative delivery philosophy has been functioning for over 10 years now. Together with our clients, Union Design has passionately created high quality, innovative interior design services and interior construction.

We are specialized in commercial design (corporates, healthcare and hospitality), residential design (houses and apartments), and institutional design (schools, and religious buildings). Susy Hadikusumo is noted for creating thoughtful, distinguished spaces for her clients from different nations. Her passion is to continually explore unique design solutions related to the ever-evolving lifestyles and work styles of her clients, and to create environments that enhance the user experience.

Susy has been regularly commissioned to lead the design of numerous high end prestigious corporate projects. She has worked with notable clients such as Mead Johnson, Makarim & Taira Law Firm, Prudential, Daqing China National Petroleum, Asahi Diamond and Black & Veatch. Prior to establishing her own firm, she was the Senior Associate at Design A.D. Indonesia, to handle design and project managements for all their hospitality and residential projects. She has also gained valuable design experience during her work at GSC Graeber, Simmons, and Cowan, in Austin, Texas, USA while handling corporate projects for Motorola and Samsung.

Susy has a Bachelor of Fine Art degree (with Honors) in Interior Design and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Iowa State University, USA. On October 2015, she was also invited to participate at the design & lifestyle event held by the Royal Danish Embassy in Jakarta, on behalf of the Royal visit, Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark and her husband the Prince Consort.
